“Sad Barn” by James Bielmann
It is another week where most of my time has been spent with gallery/business work. The time and effort involved in setting up a new show is hard for most people to imagine. Planning the type of show, finding interesting artist to be in the show, writing press releases and other promotional material, contacting all the media, mailing announcement cards, taking delivery of the work, cleaning up the gallery, hanging the new work, making and hanging tags, and signs, getting food and drink for the reception, meeting and greeting artists and their clients, and hopefully selling some art work.
Saturday I have a new photography show opening. There are about 40 pieces of art work to hang and label. This is his first show and we are expecting a good crowd. I will post photos after.
